MEMBERS & PROFESSIONALS

Janiene Luke, MD is a board-certified dermatologist, Associate Professor, and serves as Residency Program Director at the Loma Linda University Department of Dermatology in California. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiologic Sciences from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Nutrition from California State University, Los Angeles.  While pursuing her medical degree, she was elected to the UCLA Chapter Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and received several awards and scholarships for her academic and community service endeavors. She completed her residency in dermatology at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, where she also obtained extensive training in Skin of Color. 

Dr. Luke specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology with expertise in hyperpigmentation, hair disorders, and skin of color.  She lectures locally and nationally and has a special interest in resident education. She has developed several curricula and educational courses during her time at LLU. She is the Director of the Cosmetic and Laser Center at LLU and created the Resident Cosmetic Clinic, a curriculum designed to give residents specialized training in performing cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Luke is active in numerous national societies such as AAD, SOCS, ASDS and APD.  She previously served as the chair of the LLU Clinical Competency committee, and completed a 3-year term on the AAD’s Diversity Task Force, where she received a Presidential Award for her efforts. She currently is a member of the Mentorship and the Technology and Social Media Committees for the Skin of Color Society. In her spare time, Dr. Luke enjoys singing, traveling and cooking.
