The SOCS President’s Book Club is an educational program seeks to enrich the education of dermatology trainees by facilitating free access to seminal scientific/medical literature recommended by the SOCS President.
SOCS members who have authored, co-authored, edited or co-edited a significant work in the field of dermatology related to skin of color are encouraged to apply for their publication to be considered in the inaugural offering of the President’s Book Club.
The SOCS Educational Showcase contains the most current and relevent, video content from some of SOCS best experts. Here you can learn about specific dermatologic conditions, as well as hear insights from dermatology experts on why skin of color dermatology is one of the most relevent fields in acheiving health equity. We are pleased to offer a wide variety of patient educational resources, now available in English and Spanish translations! Thanks to expert contributions from many SOCS members, the Public Dermatology Education section of the site features informative articles to help patients of color better understand some of the most common dermatologic conditions.
October 24 is national My Best Winter Skin (MBWS) Day! This unique holiday marks the beginning of a season of giving, education and volunteerism for SOCS members. In the coming months at numerous events around the nation, SOCS members and advocates will distribute dermatologist-developed educational material and donated product samples to raise awareness about optimal winter skin care and generate donations to the SOCS Foundation. Donations will help support innovative research in skin of color dermatology.
