Invited Speaker | SOCS Scientific Session at the 25th WCD Singapore 2023
Dr. Rodrigues is an Australian dermatologist with expertise in pigmentary disorders, skin of color dermatology, laser surgery and cultural humility in healthcare. She is the founder and director of Chroma Dermatology, Australia’s first dedicated dermatology center for pigmentary disorders and skin of color. She is a senior lecturer at Melbourne University and holds academic positions at the Department of Dermatology at The Royal Children’s Hospital, and the Skin Health Institute.
Dr. Rodrigues has previously served on the SOCS Board of Directors and Co-Chaired the inaugural mentoring committee. She is currently the Secretary General of the Asian Society for Pigment Cell Research, and is on the Medical Advisory Board of the Global Vitiligo Foundation. In 2019, as a result of her scientific contributions to dermatology and outreach work in India and the Pacific Islands, she received the International League of Dermatologic Society’s Young Dermatologist Achievement Award.
She has a strong commitment to education and research in her areas of expertise, which is evident in her peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, local and international invited lectures, patient support initiatives and continued international research collaborations.
